Christopher Germain

Hello Fellow REALTORS®,

I look forward to serving you on the Michigan REALTORS® board of directors. I felt that running for the board of directors was the next step in serving my REALTOR® family. Over the past decade, I have been involved on the local level and at the state level on various committees.

I started in real estate in 2004. From the start of my career I knew I wanted to get involved with the REALTOR® board. I was elected onto the county MLS committee and then shortly after appointed to a seat at the Upper Peninsula REALTORS®. Since then, I have continually served on the Upper Peninsula REALTORS® and I am a past president of the board.

Serving time on my local board allowed me many opportunities to serve the Michigan REALTORS® in various capacities. I was able to serve on President Szpeinski's PAG on big data, serve on the local and state YPN, and was honored to be selected to be part of the inaugural class of the Michigan REALTORS® Leadership Academy. In 2016, I was selected to become the co-facilitator of the Leadership Academy for the following two years. As my tenure with the Leadership Academy comes to a close, I decided that it would be the right time to run for the board of directors.

When I made the decision to run for the Michigan REALTORS® board of directors I reached out to many of my REALTOR® contacts from around the state. I received a positive response from those that I spoke with and I was able to receive a large amount of endorsements early on. With those endorsements in place, I am running unopposed and will ultimately be elected to the board this fall.

I am honored and humbled to serve my profession and colleagues in such a way. I look forward to 2019 and beyond!

Christopher Germain, REALTOR®, ABR®
