I was elected to my first term as a Director for District 12 for Michigan Realtors® in 2017 and it would be my honor to be elected to a second term. I am an active member of the Michigan Realtor Board and also serve on its Finance Committee as well as the Realtor of the Year Selection Committee.

Over the past 2 years, the Board has researched and decided on a major capital improvement plan to replace our current and dysfunctional building. Throughout this decision process, I have been a vocal member advocate for keeping a hard cap on the overall cost of the project and doing so without raising member dues. In the end, we will have a fine building that meets the needs of the organization far into the future by providing: professional development opportunities for our members; creating a modern environment that allows us to attract and keep world class talent; and hosting our Lansing lawmakers as we advocate for public policy that protects private property rights – all this and paid for with a combination of cash reserves and low interest loans.

If you peruse my resume, you will find that I first entered real estate as a college student at the University of Michigan. I joined the Ann Arbor Area Board of Realtors® and quickly became engaged at the committee level and served as a Director. I have been on at least one committee at the Board nearly every year of my career and have chaired many of them. I currently serve on Professional Standards and the ROTY Selection Committee for the AAABoR. In 2001, Linda Lombardini and I opened Trillium Real Estate, an independent boutique brokerage in Downtown Ann Arbor.

I also have been engaged in Ann Arbor City government, serving 2 terms on City Council and 3 terms on the Downtown Development Authority. Being re-elected to District 12 Director for Michigan Realtors® will utilize my skills and passion in both arenas of my life: real estate and public policy. I have experience reviewing budgets and financial statements of the magnitude of this organization. In addition, I have experience with organizations undertaking large capital improvement projects like the new Michigan Realtors® building.
