Jerry Bobbitt

ABR, CRS

Jerry Bobbitt, ABR, CRS has been licensed since 1991 and is the Broker/Owner of Century 21 A-1 Realty. Jerry has been very involved in the Association beginning in 2005. Jerry served on almost every committee there is and was President of the Down River Association of REALTORS and the Down River Charitable Foundation in 2012 and was their ROTY in 2013. Jerry continues to volunteer with the newly merged Southeastern Border Association by sitting as a Director on the Southeastern Michigan MLS and Budget and Finance Committee. Jerry also serves as the Down River Chapter Chair of the Government affairs Committee and Co-Chair of the SEBAR Government Affairs/RPAC Committee.

Jerry has taken several mission trips. In 2003 he went to Romania and worked with children (orphans) taken by Dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu to create his army. After his execution in 1989 the children were placed in orphanages. Now teens in 2003, many of them had no life skills or real education leaving them homeless. In 2014 Moldova the mission trip was to work with girls that have been or are at risk of being trafficked. Romania, being the epicenter of Human Trafficking, sees a large number of women trafficked abroad in fake promises of a better life. Many of these girls are what is known as "social orphans". The parents are living abroad and leave them home alone to fend for themselves. In 2017 another Romania trip was taken where he worked with college age adults sharing career ideas, life skills and being a friend. In Moldova I worked with teens and human trafficking victims.
