Fair Housing documents available free through MAR

Michigan Association of REALTORS® members can now receive free Fair Housing Training Kits and A REALTORS® Guide to Housing Opportunity brochures as part of MAR’s program to promote affordable housing strategy.

The training kit is designed for managers and provides information on teaching employees about the aspects of fair housing and the importance of creating innovative solutions to diversify the real estate environment. It includes an outline of topics to be covered during training, a sales agent/broker fair housing guide, a summary of key fair housing laws, a discussion case, a NAR Fair Housing Quiz and answers, and a copy of A REALTORS® Guide to Housing Opportunity.

The brochure, A REALTORS® Guide to Housing Opportunity, is directed at both buyers and sellers. It includes articles on working with buyers, working with sellers, an advertising checklist, a fair housing Q&A, and information on the Americans with Disabilities Act. This brochure is available in both hard copy from MAR or in PDF format online at www.mirealtors.com.
