Michigan Association of REALTORS® hosts annual Conference
Inaugural Gala, industry issues sessions to highlight event
The Michigan Association of REALTORS® is hosting its annual Achieve Leadership Conference on January 18-19, 2007 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Dearborn, MI.
This year’s conference will feature an exciting lineup of nationally recognized speakers, including REALTOR® and author Roger Turcotte, and Emmy-Award winning TV reporter Jeff Crilley. Other highlights of the event include the extensive coverage of industry leadership issues, with key MAR speakers Greg McClelland, Gail Anderson, and Rob Campau, and the installation ceremony for MAR’s 2007 incoming officers and president, Furhad Waquad of Real Estate One in Bloomfield Hills.
Waquad has been a REALTOR® since 1988, and was awarded the MAR REALTOR® Active in Politics in 2002 and named REALTOR® of the Year in 2003. He is the only MAR member to ever be awarded both of these honors back to back. Some of his other accomplishments include being appointed by former Gov. Engler to serve on the Michigan Commission on Asia in Schools, and earning the GRI, CRS, ABR, CIPS, and RCS industry designations.
