
Dan Coffey

According to Dan, he tried to save the world (including three years in Peru) until 1968. He attended Northwestern until 1971 and received his Ph.D. Until 1980, he did consulting for colleges and trained mechanical contractor foremen. He has been active at the local association level since the mid 1980’s and at the state level since the mid 1990’s. He started to sell real estate with 18% interest rates in 1981. Dan has been a REALTOR® in Michigan and Indiana since then and principal broker of RE/MAX Harbor Country Real Estate, Union Pier, Michigan, since 1986. Dan sells vacation/getaway homes to Chicago people in both Indiana and Michigan on or near Lake Michigan. Dan loves public policy work and is willing to ask for RPAC donations. In his spare time he’s served 10 years on the local School Board and is now on the local Planning Commission. Dan has two daughters, one is a lawyer turned inner city school teacher and the other is a Ph.D. psychotherapist in Boulder. He has one granddaughter. His wife, Kay Hartmann, teaches Graphic Arts at Columbia College, Chicago.
