Southeast Michigan Coalition for Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity hosts annual Fair Housing Seminar & Luncheon

On Wednesday April 4, 2007, the Southeast Michigan Coalition for Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity will be hosting its annual Fair Housing Seminar and Luncheon at Shriner’s Conference Center in Southfield, MI. This event will include remarks from Furhad Waquad, President of the coalition’s Board and Michigan Association of REALTORS® President, Nancy Haynes, J.D., The Grand Rapids Fair Housing Center Director, Linda Parker, Director of The Michigan Department of Civil Rights, and Charles McMillan, The National Association of REALTORS’® First Vice President. The Southeast Michigan Coalition for Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity’s mission is to educate the members of Michigan communities on the ethics of fair housing and heighten sensitivity to diversity.

Along with MAR and NAR, participating Local Associations include the Ann Arbor Area Board of REALTORS®, the Commercial Board of REALTORS®, the Dearborn Area Board of REALTORS®, the Detroit Association of REALTORS®, the Down River Association of REALTORS®, the Eastern Thumb Association of REALTORS®, the Flint Area Association of REALTORS®, the Grosse Pointe Board of REALTORS®, the Lapeer and Upper Thumb Association of REALTORS®, the Metropolitan Consolidated Association of REALTORS®, the Monroe County Association of REALTORS®, and the Western Wayne Oakland County Association of REALTORS®.
