To become a member of the Michigan Association of REALTORS®, you must first join a local association/board. If you are a broker you can choose which local association/board you would like to join in your area. If you are a salesperson working for a broker, ask your broker which local you should join. If you are not a REALTOR® and would like to join as an Affiliate member, you can join a local association/board of your choice and you can request to have membership in MAR when you apply for membership at that association/board.

The Michigan Association of REALTORS® exists to give its members the edge. What is the MAR edge? It’s the strength of 32,500 REALTOR® members, honed, sharpened and ready for action. Visit the MAR Edge Web site for more information about the benefits of becoming a MAR member, print the MAR benefits package, and read about benefits you will also receive through the National Association of REALTORS®.

MAR publishes a bi-weekly e-publication, MAR E-News, which is sent to all members who keep a current email address on file.
In addition to the MAR E-News, there may be special edition e-publications sent out to inform our members when their action is needed for a Public Policy issue or for upcoming events with registration information and updates.
MAR also provides two printed publications: the Michigan REALTOR® magazine, and the REALTOR® Advocate. Each publication is printed six times a year and sent to all MAR members on an alternating schedule.
