President's Cup Golf Outing

September 26 • 9 a.m. shotgun start

The first day of the MAR Convention and Expo will feature the President's Cup Golf Outing at the PohlCat Championship Golf Course in Mt. Pleasant. It will be a best ball, shotgun format, with plenty of prizes and surprises on every hole that will challenge golfers of all skill levels.

The PohlCat was named by Golf Digest as "One of America's 12 best new golf courses of 1992". Designed by Dan Pohl, PGA touring pro and Mt. Pleasant native, the course offers PGA quality golf, with holes playing over the scenic 100-ft. wide Chippewa River. Experience USGA greens and 56 USGA best sand traps.

Registration fees ($89 per golfer) include 18 holes of golf, cart, range balls, a continental breakfast, lunch, contest holes and the 19th Hole Party at the end of the outing.

Kick off the first night of Convention with the ever-popular Grand Assembly in the Expo. Find out which members will be named REALTOR® of the Year and REALTOR® Active in Politics. This year, enjoy entertainment by The Passing Zone, a juggling duo that is sure to amaze you. They have been featured on The Tonight Show, The Today Show, Comic Strip Live, and CBS This Morning. Following the Grand Assembly, the 2007 Expo will open.

MAR's annual REALTOR® of The Year award is the highest honor bestowed upon a Michigan REALTOR®. It stands for integrity, individual achievement and perhaps the greatest compliment, recognition from peers in the real estate industry. The award is presented during the Grand Assembly at the Convention & Expo.

Each local association is responsible for putting forth a RAP nominee. All nominees will be recognized at the Grand Assembly at the Convention & Expo at which time the statewide winner will be announced.

REALTOR® Royale

Missed out on toga parties in college? This year's REALTOR® Royale will infuse the Greek theme with an all out toga bash. All members are encouraged to dress creatively with the theme. Musical entertainment by Solstice, complementary munchies and two drink tickets per person will be provided.

RPAC Silent Auction

September 27 • 7 - 9 p.m.

Don't miss the opportunity to bid on artwork, weekend getaways, gift baskets, sporting event tickets and much more! The RPAC Silent Auction will be held in conjunction with the Convention & Expo with funds going to the REALTORS® Political Action Committee. RPAC is the only grassroots and issues mobilizing force that exists to protect and promote the tradition of home ownership and real estate investment.

Closing Keynote The Risk Not Taken – Sandy Geroux

The closing keynote is always a popular draw and a great way to close out your 2007 Convention experience. Every year MAR brings in a dynamic, motivational speaker, and this year is no different.
