After several years in the building industry as a project manager and then a successful run as a residential builder, Ron decided to became a Realtor initially to work with his wife Jan; already a successful Realtor in her own right. Originally licensed in 1992, Ron received his broker license in 2000 and together, Ron & Jan operate as TeamZupko.com, Inc. The team is currently affiliated with Partners Real Estate Professionals, p.c. in Livingston County and active as members of the Livingston County Association of Realtors (LCAR).
As a member of the LCAR, Ron has volunteered on many committees and served as an LCAR Director for eight years from 2000-2008. During this time and along with various committee involvements, Ron served two terms as President in both 2002 and 2007. A personal highlight of this service was the recognition of being recognized as Realtor of the Year for the LCAR in 2003.
Having been blessed with some degree of personal and financial success from the Real Estate profession, Ron believes that being involved in the leadership of the industry is important for all that wish to remain in it. This industry has been challenged on many fronts in recent years and feels strongly that everyone needs to increase their interaction with the process of governing the association successfully into the future. "As a MAR director, I have the knowledge and experience, and would be a strong advocate in helping our association and it’s membership guide itself through the obstacles that still lie ahead for the Real Estate industry in Michigan. It would be my privilege and an honor to receive your vote as the director candidate for District 8."
Ron lives with his wife Jan in Brighton (Genoa Twp) MI. They have two grown children and 2 grandsons.
