Average Selling Prices Increase Hits 5-year High

June housing sales reflected an increase in average selling price at its highest level in five years, according to the MLS reports compiled by the Michigan Association of REALTORS®. Over 70% of Local units reported an increase in average selling price from June 2013 compared to June 2012. Thirteen (13) Locals reporting an increase near/over 20+%, including Greater Shiawassee, Lenawee County, Tuscola County, and Water Wonderland all coming in at a whopping 53+% increase in average selling price. Statewide the average selling price increased by 7.86% at $129,696 in June 2013 compared to $120,247 in June 2012.
