Steve Harney

Steve Harney has been in the business of residential real estate for more than 20 years. He started as an agent in the difficult market of the early 1980’s. As an agent for seven years, Steve averaged over 50 transactions annually.

Consequently, he was hired to manage an office by a national franchise that had the largest multi-office real estate firm in the state of New York. In three years, Steve developed that office into the most productive one that franchise had east of the Mississippi River. He was honored with national awards for three consecutive years. From there, Steve was promoted to Director of Career Development for his firm. This position charged him with the responsibility of successfully training more than 1,000 agents in the company.

In May of 1995, Steve started his own real estate firm. Eight years later, the firm had grown to 13 offices, with over 500 agents. It had become the #1 firm in the county in which it operated, and was also recognized as one of the Top 250 Power Brokers in America by RISMedia.

After his company was purchased by a large conglomerate in 2003, Steve started a training firm, named Steve Harney, Inc. Here, he continues to train and coach hundreds of agents monthly. Steve is committed to helping realtors achieve their potential. Steve’s extensive experiences in all facets of the industry make him uniquely qualified to share the ‘insider’ information regarding the mindset of the customer and client in this rapidly changing market.
