Ann Peterson

Ann Peterson began her career in the real estate field over 30 years ago as a real estate office secretary, advancing to the MLS Service Manager for the Rochester Board of Realtors, earning her real estate license in 1989 and opened her own real estate office in 2013.  Her background and years of experience is important to note because her passion has always been to the real estate field. She brings to the table extensive real estate expertise as well as long range planning and a passion for real estate policy issues that affect our consumers/tax payers and our industry alike.   

After joining the North Oakland County Board of Realtors (NOCBOR), Ann became active on many of the committees and even sought a position on the Board of Directors.  After being elected by petition to the Board of Directors in 2013 her involvement in the Board only skyrocketed.  She became active on the Government Affairs Committee, Realcomp Governor, Realcomp RCO3 User Committee and Realcomp RCO3 Policy and Procedures, NOCBOR Grievance Committee, Currently serves as Treasurer of the Executive Committee at NOCBOR, past secretary of the Executive Committee at NOCBOR, Appointed to the Michigan Realtors Public Policy Committee and National Association of Realtors Conventional Financing and Public Policy Committee and appointed recently by Michigan Realtors® to the Presidential Advisory Group regarding advertising and she is also a Major Investor of Realtor Political Action Committee (RPAC).  Ann is still active on all these committees.  She also attends the state, national conventions and the legislative meetings in Washington, D.C.  Ann’s leadership has been paramount in protecting our profession and the consumer. 

Ann was elected Realtor-Active-in-Politics in 2015 and chosen in 2016 for the Distinguished Service Award at NOCBOR.  

Her passion for protecting our Real Estate Profession also includes her desire to stay educated.  She has completed the following designations:  Graduate Realtor Institute, Accredited Buyer Representative, Senior Real Estate Specialist and E-Pro.  She is also a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator.

She was also elected to the Rochester City Council in 2015 and is running in the upcoming election.  Her experience in the Real Estate Field has been an asset to her role as an elected official and vice versa.  She also sits on the Michigan Municipal Leagues Land Use and Development and Public Policy Committee.

In the course, of her day, she is also an active member of the Rochester Rotary and sits on the board.  Through Rotary she is also the Interact Advisor at ACE High School where she brings programming and fun to the school by setting up Career Days, Educational Opportunities, food pantry and the list goes on.  Her most rewarding accomplishment achieved through her career in real estate was the ability to set up a scholarship program for the students at ACE High School, called the Leaders of Tomorrow, where she is honored to give out two scholarships a year to help the students achieve their dreams.  Ann was also honored and selected for the Leadership Rochester Award in 2015.
